North Durham Academy

This project is for a brand new Academy campus which will open to students in 2013. This visionary project will create an inspiring, flexible learning environment for students and provide superb facilities for the local community. The campus will derive its distinctive identity from the world of work, with state of the art teaching and learning areas.

Services provided:

• 5,000m2 Internal Ground Floor Slabs – 300/350mm thick with 2 layers of mesh reinforcement. Traditional hand-laid floors with a powerfloated finish to class SR3 in accordance with BS 8204-2: 2003
• 9,000m2 Upper Floors – Composite metal deck 150mm thick with 1 layer of continuous mesh reinforcement. Pumped concrete with a powerfloated finish to class SR3 in accordance with BS 8204-2: 2003
